Welcome to third & fern, my name is Alysha. ​​

Have you ever killed a snake plant? Because I have. Twice. I was told are hard to kill, and assumed they were fool proof.  ​

That's how my passion for plants started - from my dying snake plants. I had to know what I did wrong (twice). I did the usual google searches, but the best information came from plant store associates in Calgary. ​The more I learn about plants, the more I want to experience their care for myself.

My experience has come through trial and errors, workshops, asking for help, and of course google. ​Even though my education will never end, I am here to help those who are just starting out. I want to be that guide for you, and let you know why you should never over water a snake plant.

 ​My business is about education so you can be a better plant parent. But I also know life is busy. If you prefer to sit back and admire your house jungle without the hassle, I can provide 100% care. For those who want a house jungle and don't know where to start - I can provide that service too. ​
